18 October 2022

Over 30 people from a range of organisations across the healthcare economy recently attended a launch event for the North West Endoscopy Training Academy.

The launch was held on 7 October at Liverpool John Moores University. The development of the academy is an exciting and positive development for endoscopy training in the region.

The academy will deliver high quality training to the region’s endoscopy workforce as a major contributor to ensuring service users receive a first-class experience from beginning to end of their treatment journey.

Dr Neil Haslam, the academy’s Clinical Lead, and Dr Paul Collins, Clinical Director, delivered presentations on the formation of the academy and ambitions in close partnership with HEE. Attendees were also given a hands-on demonstration of endoscopy training within a simulated environment. For further information about the North West Endoscopy Training Academy contact Senior Project Manager Paul Horton-Meadows, or visit the training academies page on our website or @EndoscopyWest on Twitter.
