Social Care Nurses Forum in Cheshire and Merseyside

26 April 2023

The Social Care Nurses Forum has been created as a collaboration between NHSE and Skills for Care.

The remit of the group is to discuss key challenges and views with  registered nurses working in adult social care and develop plans on how the system can provide better support. The forum has already proven key to developing opportunities for cross sector working, sharing best practice and offering peer support. Engagement and interaction with nurses who are working within the social care sector is fundamental to not only meet the needs of the workforce but also to ensure that our populations health needs are being met. The Cheshire and Merseyside Social Care Nurses Forum aims to do just that.

Topics discussed have included:

  • Preceptorships
  • CPD
  • Placements
  • Wellbeing
  • Learning Platforms
  • Leadership and Quality Improvement

We want to hear from you, and your experiences. To join the forum, and to find out further information, please contact Sue Noon, Social Care and PIVO Workforce Development Manager and Alison Everett, Skills for Care.
