Conference reconnects our multi-professions

The south west Multi-Professional Conference successfully took place at Taunton Racecourse on Friday 14 October, with both face-to-face and virtual attendees.

The conference aimed to reconnect colleagues from all multi-professions in the south west  with over 200 on-site and 240 virtual delegates attending on the day. It was a rare opportunity to come together to share practice and learn from others for a better tomorrow for healthcare practice and education.

As HEE south west's first multi-professional healthcare educational conference, it  brought healthcare educators and learners from different disciplines together to focus on and develop our workforce of the future.

Perfect topics and organisation.

The themes of the plenary sessions and workshops included:

• positivity
• staff engagement
• civility to engage and develop psychological safety and trust to create the right culture in the workplace
• well-being and support
• equality, diversity and inclusion
• advancing technology in healthcare education, including simulation

Through planning the event successfully combined face to face and virtual with positive feedback from both sets of attendees and speakers.

An excellent use of time to sit and spend time with colleagues interested in education from across disciplines.

My personal highlight was to hear the buzz in the networking sessions, people re-connecting again, sharing stories and re-building relationships.
