Developing our future workforce planners

HEE has welcomed nine apprentices in the south west region as part of a pilot which aims to develop workforce data analysts for the future.
The apprenticeships are part of a programme to develop workforce planning capability and capacity in the region. The apprentices will follow a three-month data orientation training programme before joining ICBs and regional teams in the south west to complete their two-year Level 4 apprenticeship.
The project, which is a pilot for HEE, also involves establishing a community of practice for existing workforce planners, and providing training and upskilling courses for a range of roles within ICBs to help both HEE and the region to grow its own workforce planning capability.
