Mental Health Leadership Development Programme

We are excited to announce the partnership with the Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR), University of Exeter to deliver the Leadership Development Programme. CEDAR is one of the UK's largest providers of training in evidence-based psychological practice and therapies and will work closely with our mental health team to improve services across the south west.

The Mental Health Leadership Development Programme is designed to support existing and emerging leaders working across the adult mental health system in community mental health teams, NHS talking therapies and inpatient settings.

The programme will facilitate the development of key leadership attributes contributing to service and workforce enhancement whilst enabling system-wide learning, networking, collaboration, and support.

The programme involves ten days of workshops and three half-day action learning sets delivered over a three-to-six-month period. There will be a mixture of face-to-face and online teaching and we plan to run cohorts for the south of the region in Autumn 2023 and for the north of the region in early 2024.
