The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists awards regional schools

30 August 2023

Congratulations to the schools of obstetrics and gynaecology at Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Cornwall Hospitals (RCH) NHS Trust for being recognised and awarded in the Training Evaluation Form (TEF) by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists this year.

The TEF enables trainees to give direct feedback on their training and enhance their educational experience, drive up the quality of training environments and ultimately improve patient safety and experience.

The RUH, based in Severn, in addition to being ranked the top unit, out of 167, for obstetrics training across all four nations, attained a highly commended award for achieving top ten for training in obstetrics and gynaecology.

The RCH based in the Peninsula, was also recognised for achieving top ten performing units and highly commended for gynaecology training across all four nations based on the feedback from our trainees.

These awards recognise the commitment and effort that the trainers, along with the medical, midwifery, nursing and administrative staff, make towards the quality of training and the educational experience enjoyed by the postgraduate doctors in training in both of these units.
