Health Education England wants to hear NHS learners’ views on their education and training

4 November 2020

Healthcare trainees and students from across all clinical learning environments who are currently on placements are today invited to complete Health Education England’s (HEE) National Education and Training (NETS) survey aimed at improving the quality of education and training in England.

HEE wants to hear views from learners on their education and learning experiences.

Professor Wendy Reid, Executive Medical Director and Director of Education and Quality said:

We are committed to making sure that all trainees and students have the best possible learning experience and this important survey helps us identify where improvements are needed as well as identify areas of good practice that can be shared.

I would urge learners to complete the short survey and tell us about their experiences.   This year, as students may be undertaking clinical placements during the pandemic, the survey provides an additional opportunity to understand their experience and any impact on the quality of training.

The findings will enable placement providers to demonstrate to learners and regulators that they are providing a high-quality experience and provide education institutions with an opportunity to showcase the quality of clinical placements available within their programmes.

To take part in the survey before it closes 30 November or for more information go to https://www.hee.nhs.uk/our-work/quality/national-education-training-survey
