Pharmacy Partnership Event - 14 March

The Health Education England Partnership event was held on Tuesday 14 March, 2017 at the Holiday Inn, Peartree Roundabout, Woodstock Road, Oxford.

The event looked at what pharmacy do and how they help deliver the priorities set out in the sustainability and transformation plans and the transforming primary care agenda. There is also a lot of change happening in the commissioning and delivery of pharmacy services and this event was to update the audience on initiatives happening within pharmacy and showcase the innovation and best practice that has emerged over the last 12-18 months.

Attendees had the opportunity to participate in workshops and there was also be a market place with posters and presentations.

  • Nicky Wadley
  • Carol Trower

In addition to the key note speakers there was also a round-table discussion. The event also included a question-time style panel providing delegates with an opportunity to take questions via Slido.

The round-table discussions were themed around:

  • A focus on roles in urgent care
  • Advanced practice and consultant roles
  • New roles for medicines management
  • Wave 2 models of clinical pharmacists in general practice
  • Community education provider networks and community pharmacy
