Sheona MacLeod to be Acting Director of Education and Quality

From 1 April 2020, Professor Sheona MacLeod will become Health Education Englands’s Acting Director of Education and Quality and Executive Medical Director.

This move will ensure HEE retains clear and continuous senior leadership in this crucial role when professor Wendy Reid takes up the Acting CEO post on 1 April.

Confirming the appointment, Ian Cumming, Chief Executive, HEE said

“Sheona is already well known both within HEE and across our partners through her current role in DEQ as Deputy Medical Director, and is excellently placed to lead the directorate over the months ahead. I hope everyone in HEE will join me in congratulating Sheona and wishing her well
