National Education and Training Survey results released

28 February 2023

The National Education and Training Survey (NETS) is the only national survey open to all healthcare students and undergraduate and postgraduate doctors and dentists in training to identify emerging and escalating concerns. The results from the latest round of NETS were released last month, capturing feedback from multi-professional learners between October and November 2022.

The south west received the highest response rate of any HEE region with learners rating it the best region in England for education and training. Some 85% of our learners also said they experienced a positive placement.

However, 72% of learners who said they experienced bullying or harassment did not report it. Also, 38% of learners reported that their workload was too high to support learning.

These results have been shared with our stakeholders, and individual meetings are now in place to discuss the results and how we can take forward actions together.

There is a public access report tool where you can review what all the learners have told us. If you have any questions about the NETS results, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
