Learning disability nursing

In collaboration with its stakeholders CapitalNurse has produced a best practice guide that provides a pan-London resource to support health and social care organisations, addressing three key areas:

• Inspiring future learning disability nurses
• Recruiting and supporting newly-registered nurses
• Facilitating progression of registered learning disability nurses.

The guide builds on some of the existing CapitalNurse pan-London approaches such as the Preceptorship Framework, Newly Qualified Nurse Employment Offer and Nursing Work Experience. It is not intended to replace any existing good practice in recruiting and supporting learning disability nurses, and can be applied and adapted to meet an organisation's needs.
