Does expansion use the same evidence base as redistribution?

Expansion posts are funded to provide a short-term boost to medical training posts that have been impacted by Covid-19 or the Ockenden Report or form part of the NHS Long Term Plan. The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) have provisionally agreed for 1000 programme posts over three years to support the services most disrupted by the aforementioned factors.
