DHSC Healthcare Education & Training Tariff
Contents
From April 2021, Health Education England assumed greater responsibility for the development and maintenance of the education and training placement tariffs.
Health Education England is required to work with stakeholders to develop and present to the Department of Health and Social Care, recommended changes to the annually published tariff guidance document, including any proposed price changes.
The agreed process for any changes to, or extension of the tariff prices is that these be presented to the Health Education England Board for sign-off. Following this they are sent to the Department of Health and Social Care for approval. These recommendations are then presented to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care for final sign-off in accordance with the existing powers and requirements for the tariffs that are set out in legislation.
Health Education England and the Department of Health and Social Care are committed to working together to ensure the education and training tariffs continue to support good quality education and training placements.
