Postgraduate medical and dental education

Postgraduate medical and dental training is available for all doctors and dentists in England.

The teams that do this work in HEE used to be deaneries, and are now part of our local teams. They may also be referred to as the PGMDE or healthcare education (HET) teams.

From the boxes below you can select the team that covers your local area, as well as see the other teams within your region.

There are three teams in the north of England:

North East, including north Cumbria
North West
Yorkshire and the Humber

There are three teams covering the midlands and east of England:

East midlands
West midlands
East of England

There is a single healthcare education team (HET) that covers London:


Kent, Surrey and Sussex is now part of the South region, and can be found below.
