South West Endoscopy Training Academy shortlisted for a HSJ Partnership Awards

The South West Endoscopy Training Academy (SWETA) programme has been shortlisted for the HSJ Partnership Awards this year.

The Health and Care Act cemented collaboration and partnership as the key success factor for the future sustainability of the NHS. Therefore, the HSJ Partnership Awards, in addition to celebrating success stories, offer a platform to shape the future of our new integrated health and care system.

SWETA was developed in April 2021 as an early adopter of the programme with an operational model that is based on a sustainable academy model, to meet the regional needs of the South West. 

The collaboration between InHealth Group, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB, North Bristol Trust, University Hospitals Bristol and Weston FT, InHealth - Prime Endoscopy, South West Endoscopy Training Academy, Health Education England, NHS England have been shortlisted in the Best healthcare provider partnership with the NHS and Staffing solution of the year categories.

The awards have recognised two regional programmes for the most effective collaboration with the NHS in the following fields:

• The immersion training programme provides endoscopy training and workforce development for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire at the Bristol Prime site in partnership with InHealth. This programme has been shortlisted for its contribution as Best Healthcare Provider Partnership with the NHS and Staffing Solution of the Year.

• In partnership with FourEyes and the North West and London Endoscopy Training Academy, the admin and clerical training programme has been shortlisted as the Best Educational Programme for the NHS.
