In the Midlands we deliver our aim by focussing on delivery of high-quality education and training to support the NHS, working with NHS providers across 10 Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships and one Integrated Care System. Our workforce priorities include cancer, urgent and emergency care, primary care, general practice and nursing expansion.
We are committed to advancing diversity and inclusion for our staff, the wider workforce, and ultimately patients.
The region covers from Derbyshire to Herefordshire & Worcester (North-South) across to Lincolnshire and Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin (East-West) and we are responsible for over 9,500 trainee doctors & dentists.
To help ensure health and care services are built around the needs of people in the region, local providers and commissioners are working together in Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs).
