HEE is committed to supporting the welfare of all postgraduate doctors in training. Specifics relating to protected characteristics are under consideration both locally and nationally through programme groups. Details will be published as part of the group findings.

A Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) has already taken place as part of the initial approach to the programme, as a follow up, a further EIA will take place in 2023.

How has widening participation been considered in the programme?

HEE is committed to the widening participation programme and through the Remote, Rural and Coastal Systems group these are being reviewed and targeted in the programme.
