Which phase is my specialty in?

(Updated February 2023)

Phasing was agreed in 2022 after undergoing a thorough consultation process with local offices at HEE. The approach was implemented to ensure local teams had the opportunity to formally express preferences and opinions whilst the national programme team found a solution that worked in favour of most parties.

In January 2023, a key stakeholder group met following a request from the Neurology Task and Finish Group to consider Stroke Medicine alongside Neurology in the distribution programme due to the interwoven and co-dependent nature of the two programmes.

The group discussed four options including doing nothing, however for the benefit of the programme it was agreed to move Stroke training programmes into Phase A of the Distribution programme.
