Trainee Nursing Associates Data Collection pilot
Since July 2020/21 eCollection has included an additional template to capture data for Trainee Nursing Associates (TNA’s), initially as a pilot.
As of the 31 July, HEE have asked have invited education providers to provide data for TNA students who have a programme start date of on/after 1 January 2019. This larger first collection – covering 1 January 2019 to 31 July 2020 - will ensure data on all active students is captured.
Data will be collected and reviewed and then going forward aligned to the Student Data Collection schedule for 2020/21. As with the main Student Data Collection, the TNA data collected through the tool will to be used to inform HEE payments to TNA employers and to report trainee numbers to the Department of Health and Social Care.
