South West Population and Public Health Academy

The South West Population and Public Health Academy is a platform for sharing information, ideas, tools and resources. We support transformation in the capacity and capability of the public health system by working with our stakeholders to develop a wider workforce that will enable everyone to lead healthier lives.
The Academy is responsible for two specific areas of work:
- Severn Postgraduate Medical Education School of Public Health
- South West Public Health Workforce Development for the core and wider public health workforce.
Workforce Development includes:
- South West Public Health Practitioner Scheme and Practitioner Development
- Population Health and Behavioural Science
- Public Mental Health.
