Health and wellbeing initiatives in south London

HEE's south London team is supporting a series of projects across the region aimed at improving the everyday working life of our healthcare professionals.

Read about their progress below.

British Dietetics Association Nutritional Wellbeing Pilot

The British Dietetics Association ‘Work Ready’ programme supports organisations to provide high quality, healthy food at work. Their first healthcare-related pilot is currently underway in the emergency department at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

A growing initiative to change the paradigm on incident reporting. GREATix is an example of excellence reporting, based on recognising and learning from episodes of peer-reported excellence. This is currently being supported at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy for Healthcare Professionals in training

This initiative aims to develop a sustainable group programme for building resilience, increasing sense of purpose and meaning, and reducing psychological stress for health professionals in training. This is achieved by a mindfulness-based intervention, specifically targeting the needs of trainees. This is currently being led by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
